Who new you could hold a wedding reception at The Lowry, Salford? Nope, me neither. But my oh my we have been missing out! As a wedding photographer who always seeks out exciting new wedding venues to capture in unique ways, it was to my excitement that Charmaine & Chris allowed me to capture their big day with my own creative freedom!
After arriving in style via a vintage morris minor, Charmaine and Chris tied the knot in the stunning surroundings of Ordsall Hall, Salford. For those who haven't been, it's beautiful tudor building which for the majority of the time is a museum to an era gone by. But Charmaine & Chris certainly brought back life, energy and passion to a building which deserves it's time in the spot light once more.
With family and friends (no museum guests) we witnessed them enter a new life together, packed full of colour and fun which evoked a theme of the 70's, stunning. After walking around the grounds stopping at spots for a location shoot, they both jumped back in their little morris and headed off to the sound of tin cans bouncing off the cobbles towards The Lowry.
With 360* panoramic views of Salford Quays, the Lowry's top floor turns into a reception location that truly is awe inspiring, and after dinner, speeches and a first dance routine which was pulled off with aplomb, the skyline truly came alive with the setting sun.
It was an absolute honour capturing Charmaine & Chris's wedding and I wish them both all the happiness moving forward in their new life together. Charmaine & Chris. Thank you for letting us in!
Here's a few snaps from their special day, which I won't forget in a long time.
